Spiced Pecans
These are one of my favorite snacks. They can be made with any kinds of nuts. Pictured here is a combination of pecans and almonds.
Ingredients
1 sugar substitute – stevia
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon cumin
1/2 tablespoon dry mustard
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 cups pecans (or other nuts as desired)
Instructions
Toast the pecans in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with the spices and then mix with the vinegar until well coated. Place back on a cookie sheet and place in the oven to toast for another 5 minutes. Watch the pecans as they can burn quickly. Cool, label and store.
