Black Bean Hummus
Be forewarned, this is very spicy. If you don’t want it that spicy simply cut back on the jalapenos or the red pepper.
Ingredients
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons tahini (roasted sesame seed paste)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
2 small jalapeño pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
dash of ground red pepper
Instructions
Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until desired consistency.
Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips or crackers.
This really sounds good and would be great for me to take for our Ladies weekend at the beach. I go to Edisto Beach SC will a group of women in a couple of weeks and need something different. I think they would enjoy this. Thank you for sharing.
